Playful and creative piano lessons for children, young people and adults. Happy Keys specialises in delivering dynamic piano and musicianship lessons (face to face and online) for both beginners and the progressive pianist.
Like most teachers, I began teaching my instrument the way I was taught back when I was a primary school student in the 90s. This meant learning to read notes on the page before actually understanding how to feel and listen to the sounds of the piano. Now, I firmly believe there is a better way to learn and enjoy piano lessons. I gradually discovered more and more about new ways of teaching piano as a language and as a creative art form.
Today my lessons involve making music and beautiful sounds from the word go. My job as a piano teacher at Happy Keys is to make students realise that they can be creative and make exciting music by themselves, and with other people. At the same time they can begin developing their skills in reading music to make them an independent pianist at home.
I believe this combination of creativity and musical knowledge will allow my students to build their own journey as a developing musician.
