MUSIC LESSON CLIP SUBMISSIONS

Submit your teaching video here to be featured on the Music Lesson Clips channel and be part of the movement to open the doors to private music studios!

STEP 1: GET PERMISSION
Before you do any recording, get permission in writing from the parent/guardian (or student if over 18).

STEP 2: RECORD
You can set up your phone (or any device, really!) using a tripod, selfie stick or propped up with random objects. Do your best to choose a spot where we can clearly see what’s going on in the lesson. Landscape (horizontal) is best since we will post these videos on YouTube but if you can only record portrait (vertical) you can still submit it.

STEP 3: WATCH AND LEARN
Take some time to watch the lesson back later that day or the next morning. Use it as an opportunity to learn and improve your teaching.

STEP 4: CLEAR
Regularly back up your videos and then delete them from your device to save space. Video files can fill up storage pretty quickly!

STEP 5: EDIT
Choose a short clip from your lesson that you want to submit. It must be between 5 and 10 minutes.
Please don’t aim for “PERFECT” teaching! Just choose a clip that shows something other teachers might find interesting.

If you don’t have your own permission form for video release, you can download ours here and have parents sign it. Any form submitted without an appropriate video release will not be eligible for a prize.

Please stay on this page after you submit your file. Video files with a file size over 100mb may take several minutes to upload and the page must be kept open.
