Writing music notation by hand is still a valuable skill. Being able to pick up a pencil and paper and write out notation as your student thinks of it in their heads will forever be the quickest and most flexible way of writing music.

  1. Wow. I was taught to do it the first way but I’m going to try it the “right” way. First way is easier for students I think. Thanks for a surprisingly informative video.
